5th Faculty of Science Conference
THEME: Cutting Edge Scientific Research: A Gateway to National Development
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Scientific research has brought about unquantifiable revolutions to all facets of human endeavours. Just to mention a few, scientific research has greatly and positively influenced the way we think, our quality of life, life expectancy, the nature of governance, education, business and even our social engagements. One of the ways to appreciate scientific research is to imagine a world without electricity, computers, cars, mobile phones or televisions, such a world could be described as a complete desert. The impact of scientific research is so great to the extent that it is a major determinant of the economy viability of a nation. This has led to the assertion that countries with higher scientific breakthrough generally have better education, better health and higher life expectancy. This suggests that any country with a clear vision to succeed, should be ready to embrace and invest in scientific research.
The current situation in Nigeria, most especially in the areas of economic stability, poor quality of education, insecurity, unemployment and political instability calls for urgent attention. Unfortunately, little or no consultation has been made to scientific approach to solving these national problems. We hope to give researchers the platform to showcase their research findings, establish collaborations, develop new research ideas and identify the scientific approach and gateway to Nigeria’s national development.
We welcome contributions from all scientific disciplines including Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Fisheries, Botany, Zoology, Agricultural Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology and any other science related field. The conference will bring together many academic scholars from within and outside the country. Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference’s book of abstracts. Selected papers will be published as journal articles.
Any field of Computer Science is acceptable, but the contribution to knowledge must be clear from the abstract. The following are just few examples of Computer Science fields
