LASU LAWS ALUMNUS DONATES BOOKS TO LASU
In a rare show of love and appreciation, an alumnus of the Faculty of Law, Barrister Abimbola Atilola of Hybrid Solicitors, Lagos on Friday, 10th February, 2017, donated various law books to the Faculty of Law, Law Lagos State University.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor, ‘Lanre Fagbohun on behalf of the Institution, in the company of other Principal Officers, received the Two Hundred and Twelve (212) various Law books and publications at the conference room, Faculty of Law, Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos. While receiving the books from the donor, the Vice Chancellor assured that the books would be put to judicious use and thanked the donor for his kind gesture to the University.
The donor, Barrister Atilola while donating the various law books and publications remembered his undergraduate days at the Faculty with nostalgia. He thanked his lecturers, including the present Vice Chancellor, who took him in a course as well as the present Registrar, Mr. Lewis Akinwumi Oladapo, who was an Administrative officer.
Later, Barrister Atilola and other Alumni took a tour of the Faculty, the two in one complex as well as the Law Library. They agreed they would do everything to assist the Faculty in their own little way. They stated they would contact other Alumni of the Faculty, to come and give back to their Alma Mater.
At the end of the tour of the Faculty, a Lecturer, Dr. Abdullateef Kelani gave the vote of thanks at the Moot Court.
Present at the event were the Dean, Faculty of Law, Prof. Funminiyi Adeleke, immediate past Dean, Prof. Mike Ikhariale, the Acting Law Librarian, Hameed Okunnu, Faculty Officer, Mr. Rilwan Mustapha, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluremi Savage-Oyekunle, Dr. Tope Yerokun-Oloko, Mr. Miftah Olatunde, as well as Mrs. Abosede Lawal.
