MANAGING A HOLISTIC DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION SYSTEM –INSIGHTS FROM A SUB-NATIONAL TRANSFORMATIONAL PROGRAM
Research Details
The rapid growth of digital technology in the 21st century has significantly impacted education
systems worldwide. There is an increase in the integration of technology into educational
practices, as such, there is an urgent need for a holistic management approach that ensures
effective implementation, sustainability, and scalability. This research will explore the
management of a holistic digital technology education system, drawing lessons from a sub
national transformational programs like the EKOEXCEL and Edo Basic Education Sector Transformation
(EDOBEST) in Nigeria.The primary objective of this research is to analyze the key management strategies employed in
sub-national digital education programs and to develop a framework for managing a holistic
digital technology education system. The study will focus on the following specific objectives:
1. Identify the critical success factors in the management of digital education systems at the sub
national level.
2. Examine the challenges and barriers to effective management and implementation.
3. Develop a framework for scaling and sustaining digital education initiatives across different
educational contexts and regions.
4. Provide actionable recommendations for policymakers and education stakeholders to improve
the management of digital education systems.
