Introduction
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is defined as the emulation of human cognitive functions by machines that are designed to think, learn, and make decisions autonomously. This covers a diverse array of technologies, including, but not limited to, machine learning, natural language processing, robotics, and computer vision.
Statement
of the problem
The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is fundamentally transforming the delivery of library and information services, presenting both opportunities and challenges. Libraries are increasingly integrating AI technologies, such as machine learning and natural language processing, to enhance cataloging, information retrieval, and user services.
Research
method
This study employed a descriptive survey research design to examine the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the future of library and information service delivery at Lagos State University. The target population consisted of 1500 students who registered with the university library. The sample size was 200 students.
Recommendation
1. The management of Lagos State University should provide free Artificial intelligence tools
