My areas of research interest includes
1. Neuro-infectious diseases with a major focus on NEUROAIDS. The global burden of HIV/AIDS epidemic is staggering with majority of cases in Sub-saharan Africa alone. It is a major contributor to morbidity and mortality. My research has dwelt on the pattern of Neurological manifestations of HIV/AIDS in Nigerians. I have also focused on other neurological complications including Cognitive disorders, Sleep disorders, Peripheral neuropathy and New onset seizures. In addition to HIV/AIDS, I have done a follow up study on the Case fatality of Adult Tetanus in LASUTH, with its recommendations inputted into care delivery.
2. Parkinsons disease, a Movement disorder. I have participated in the investigation of the spectrum and clinical profile of Parkinsons disease in Southwestern Nigeria, Clinical and genetic studies of PD in a cohort of Nigerians I am currently involved in international collaborative research, the Genetic Parkinson's disease program which is ongoing
3. The Nigeria Multiple sclerosis Registry project. I currently lead a team of neurologists on this ongoing project
