Dr. Nkolika Joy Peter is an Estate Surveyor and Valuer, a lecturer, researcher, and a Certified Carbon Assessment professional. She has a Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degree in Estate Management with honors from the Obafemi Awolowo, University of Lagos, and Covenant University respectively. She has a passion for teaching and a wealth of experience in academia, with about thirteen (13) years of experience in teaching, research and community development within the University system, and with over fifty (50) publications in reputable outlets. Her research interest focuses on environmental and building sustainability, real estate education, sustainable construction management, property valuation and land use management.
Dr. Nkolika Peter is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in Real Estate Management and Valuation, with several years of experience in the practice and teaching of Real Estate Management, Investment and Valuation. As an Estate Surveyor and Valuer, she is registered with the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria, and An Associate member of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers. She is also a professional member of the following organizations: Fellow, International Society for Development and Sustainability (FISDS), Professional Member, African Real Estate Society (MAfRES), Member, Green Building Council of Nigeria. Professional Membership (MGBCN), Certified Carbon Assessment Professional (CCAP), awarded by the Green Building Council of Nigeria, Fellow, Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC), Certified Management Consultant (CMC), awarded by the Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria, Registered Surveyor, Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (RSV), Associate Member (above 10 years), Nigeria Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (ANIVS), and Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).
Beyond her professional accolades, Dr. Nkolika has mentored young professionals across Nigeria and beyond, and actively participates in several forums. She has served as a reviewer for international and local journals and conferences. She has attended several workshops, seminar and delivered conference papers both locally and internationally. She is currently with Lagos State University, as an academic staff and Head of the Department of Estate Management.
