The Lagos State university Library commenced operations in November 1984 in accordance with the Edit that set up the university.
Like all university libraries, it is the pivot on which all academic activities in the university hings.
The provision of library services enable a student to take maximum advantage of the available learning environment and to develop a life long learning skills for research and private works as well as to develop reading skills not only for academic pursuits but for recreational purposes.
The university operates on three campuses of Ojo, Ikeja and Epe and each of these campuses has its own library. The main library which coordinate all the activities of the various departments, units and branch libraries is situated at the Ojo campus.
The Ojo campus also houses the Taslim Olawale Elias Law library, School of Communication library and other faculties libraries except the faculties of Engineering and Agriculture libraries at Epe and the School of Foundation Programme at Badagry.

The Library renders all services expected in an academic library including Virtual services, Bindery, Reprography and Inter Library lending. We subscribe to numerous databases which are available to our numerous users. These include the open source and fees based.
We are blessed with the services of committed, competent and qualifiedstaff who are always ready to assist users. Please feel free to approach them for help.
As a growing organism, the Libraries collections runs to almost 200,000 . As a result of this, fresh students and users, may have one or two challenges in finding their ways through the Library. This is why we take them through an orientation Programme during the first week of admission well as exposing them to GNS 101, Use of the Library.
I want to use this opportunity to welcome our fresh men and women as well as returning students to the world of knowledge which abounds at the Fatiu Ademola Akesode Library, LASU
