Registrar

Pursuant to Schedule I, Section 6(b), (c) of the Lagos State University Law, 2004, the Registrar is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University except as regards matters of which the Bursar is responsible for in accordance with the provisions of this Schedule. By virtue of that office, the Registrar is the Secretary to the Council, the Senate, Congregation and Convocation and other Statutory Committees of the University. As the Chief Administrative Officer of the University, the Registrar is responsible for the custody of the records and the common seal of the University.Emmanuel Abiodun FANU until his appointment as the Registrar of the University by the Governor of Lagos State and Visitor to the University in June, 2022, was the Deputy Registrar and Secretary, Postgraduate, Lagos State University. Ojo-Lagos, Nigeria.  He was employed by the University as an Administrative Officer II in 1999 and has risen through the ranks to become the Acting Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council of the University. He possesses a Master in Public Administration (2005) and Bachelor of Science Education (1996) Degrees and has recently undergone and completed a Diploma in Law Programme at the Lagos State University. Mr Fanu, Emmanuel Abiodun has been involved in University Administration and Management for over twenty two (22) years. He has been instrumental to and had  facilitated several administrative processes involving staff and students of the University viz: Administration, Training and Career Development, Research and several other student academic support services and academic related activities. He has served and headed some of the major divisions and units of the University like: Postgraduate School, University Senate, Faculty Offices, Academic Staff Establishment, the Establishment Division Sub-Unit of Staff Welfare (Academic and Non-Academic), the Entrepreneurship Centre of University to mention a few. He is a member of several Professional Associations among which are: •    Association of University Administrators, United Kingdom •    American Association of University Administrators •    Standing Conferences of Mediation Advocates •    Nigeria Institution of Management •    Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA)Mr. Fanu, Emmanuel Abiodun has attended several National and International Conferences in the quest for his career development. He is a professional administrator of repute with adequate knowledge of the workings of the Tertiary/Higher Education system of Nigeria. He is the incumbent Chairman of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators, Lagos State University Chapter (ANUPA-LASU). Mr. Fanu is from Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State. He is happily married and the marriage is blessed with children.
